Examiner & Scorer Confidentiality Agreement

Professional standards, non-disclosure obligations, and assessment integrity covenants binding all physical scorers and digital marks entrants.

Zero Tolerance Policy on Score TamperingAll scores submitted to the Matigo platform are digitally signed and audit-logged. Any unauthorized disclosure of live examination papers, marking guides, or raw marks, or any fraudulent manipulation of scores, will result in immediate dismissal, institutional blacklisting, and referral for legal action.

1. Scope of Engagement

This Agreement applies to all qualified educators, subject specialists, physical scorers, marks entrants, and chief examiners ("Examiners") participating in the marking of Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) mock examinations for Matigo Examinations Board.

2. Confidential Information Defined

"Confidential Information" includes, but is not limited to:

  • Assessment Materials: Live question papers, marking guides, rubrics, and diagnostic solutions before and during marking sessions.
  • Candidate Records: Candidate names, index numbers, individual paper marks, raw scores, and subject remarks.
  • Institutional Data: School-level performance summaries and comparative rankings prior to official release.
  • Digital Credentials: Examiner portal logins, passwords, and active session tokens.

3. Examiner Obligations & Standard of Conduct

As an authorized Examiner, you strictly covenant and agree that:

  • Standardized Scoring: You will score candidate scripts strictly and impartially in accordance with the official marking guide established by the Chief Examiner.
  • No Disclosure: You will not share, photograph, post, discuss, or distribute examination questions, marking schemes, or candidate marks on social media (WhatsApp, X, Facebook) or with unauthorized third parties.
  • Anti-Corruption & Non-Bias: You will not accept any gift, payment, or favor to alter candidate marks, nor allow personal bias or school affiliation to influence scoring.
  • Physical Script Custody: Candidate scripts must be secured at authorized marking centers and never removed without written authorization.
  • Verification Prior to Submission: You will verify all paper marks before finalizing and clicking "Confirm & Submit" on the workbench. Once submitted, marks become locked, permanent school records.

4. Penalties for Breach of Confidentiality

Violations of this Agreement result in immediate consequences:

  • Immediate revocation of examiner credentials and termination of active marking assignments.
  • Permanent blacklisting from future Matigo Examinations Board assessment sessions.
  • Notification of serious misconduct to your school of contact and relevant educational bodies.
  • Legal action for damages or criminal reporting for bribery and fraudulent score tampering.
